The article linked to above shows two things: 1. People will join together to fight the rich and powerful. 2. When people limit their demand to a specific reform--rather than building an egalitarian revolutionary movement that aims to remove the rich from power to have real, not fake, democracy with no rich and no poor--then the rich and powerful don't fear the people very much, and may just ignore their demand.
