CHINA IS A BOGEYMAN ENEMY

UPPER CLASS BIG SHOT LETS THE CAT SLIP OUT OF THE BAG: WAR WITH CHINA WOULD BE ABOUT U.S. RULING CLASS DOMESTIC CONTROL OF US, NOT ABOUT ANY 'NATIONAL INTEREST'
There is a lot of talk about a possible war between the U.S. and China. Usually such talk in our mass media frames the conflict as being about "our national interest" or "protecting the Chinese people from an evil tyranny."
But today H.D.S. Greenway, the former editor of the Boston Globe's editorial page and an insider's insider to the ruling elite [1] let the cat out of the bag. Greenway wrote an opinion piece for the Boston Globe, titled:
"What the Trump administration risks by using China as its bogeyman: The challenge of the 21st century is going to be keeping the competition between China and the United States from spilling over into war." [2]
Greenway first discusses how wars start when rulers need to make another nation a bogeyman enemy. He cites WWI as an example:
"The most famous example in modern times is the rivalry between the established power, Great Britain, and its challenger, Germany, a century ago that led to World War I. There were moments before that war when England and Germany might have formed an alliance. But one of the reasons they did not was because Germany needed a bogeyman in order to get money out of the German parliament to build a fleet that could rival Britain’s. And Britain was the perfect bogeyman."
Then Greenway warns about an impending war with China:
"The relationship between China and the United States is too important and too fragile, and the possibility of war too threatening in the coming decades for either country to use their rivalry as a tool for domestic politics."
A "TOOL FOR DOMESTIC POLITICS"!
The Cold War was also a "tool for domestic politics" (for elite social control of the population, in other words) as I show in great detail in my article, "The U.S. Armed the Soviet Union During the 'Cold War'" [3].
