WHAT ARE ALLSTON-BRIGHTON PEOPLE DOING TO GET AFFORDABLE, NOT LUXURY, HOUSING AND TO END GENTRIFICATION?
We are putting these green and black stickers up all over town. The more that these stickers are visible, the more confident residents will become that they are the vast majority in
a) being angry at the proliferation of luxury housing, and
b) knowing that the luxury housing developers and all of the rich and powerful are THIEVES who must be dealt with as thieves--removed from power and deprived of their undeserved huge wealth and fortunes that enable them to rule over us in a fake democracy that is really a dictatorship of the rich.
MAKE THE RICH AND POWERFUL FEAR US!
Also, the more these stickers are seen all over town, then the more fearful the rich and powerful will become of the consequence of their greed and arrogance and enforcement of inequality. They will see that the consequence is an increasingly large movement to remove the rich from power and deprive them of all their undeserved wealth, an egalitarian revolutionary movement aiming to make our society morally just with no rich and no poor and with people helping each other, not trying to profit at the expense of others. Only the fear of such a movement growing stronger will make the rich and powerful think twice about continuing to treat us like dirt.

WHAT NEXT? A DEMONSTRATION AT THE SITE OF A LUXURY HOUSING DEVELOPMENT BEING BUILT
Stickers are just the beginning. Some of us are talking about having a demonstration (after the Coronovirus epidemic passes) at the site where a luxury housing development is being built. Please subscribe to the NO RICH & NO POOR email group to join the conversation about this.
If we get enough people on board then Allston-Brighton residents against gentrification could, for example, impede the construction of a luxury housing development (such as the one being constructed now on Market St. near Washington St. in Brighton) with a militant picket line while declaring that our aim is to remove the rich from power to have real, not fake, democracy with no rich and no poor. This would frighten the rich and powerful a whole lot more than if people just keep sending polite letters to the Mayor to fill up his waste paper basket! A serious movement can do things like this, when it gets large enough.
